We are pleased to offer a series of workshops and seminars during the year on subjects of interest and concern to parents of young children. We also arrange Information Sessions at the start of each term.
If you would like to learn more about our classes, then please register for one of our information sessions. Each session provides a great opportunity to view the centre facilities, learn more about the programme and ask any questions you may have. This tour and presentation is suitable for parents and guardians . If you would like your child to experience the centre before enrolling, we recommend you also register for a Demo Session or Trial Class.

The process of becoming immersed in stories can spark imagination, encourage children to form a sense of identity, build confidence and foster creativity.
This presentation will focus on how storybooks can offer multiple layers for learning, offering opportunities for children to validate their experiences, broaden their perspective and generate positive solutions to everyday challenges.
Parents will learn how they can create "pressure valves" for their children by introducing appropriate books to support children process their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Parents will walk away with a booklist of titles catered to supporting social and emotional wellbeing for children.

According to Hong Kong Allergy Association, there is an estimate of 1 million people who suffer from allergies in Hong Kong and the figure is rising. For every 5 children, there is one with eczema (過敏性皮炎/濕疹) or allergic rhinitis (過敏性鼻炎/鼻敏感). For every 20 children, there is one with food allergy. Severe anaphylaxis (過敏性休克) occurs daily in Hong Kong.

A parent workshop presented by Jean Chan, Speech Pathologist, BAppSC (Speech Path) (Syd), HCPC HKAST.
Jean Chan is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, fluent in Cantonese and English. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, she worked in London with the UK National Health Service, providing assessments, reviews and therapy at health centres and schools focusing on children. She is passionate about language development for all ages.
The presentation will focus on the importance of attention and listening skills, play and social interaction skills as well as receptive and expressive language skills in the early development of typical language and communication abilities.
Focusing on early infancy to three year olds, this presentation will help parents establish specific strategies to support and enhance their child’s communication skills such as creating opportunities for their child to communicate, developing new vocabulary as well as increasing their attention and listening skills.
Strategies and examples of activities be presented and discussed with parents to help them facilitate their child’s speech and language development.
